In the graph you posted, it would be interesting to see what would happen to the green curve if on April 3 behaviors returned to business as usual. Likely it would take off again, unless there is a warm weather effect.

Multiple Major League Baseball teams have started pulling scouts off the road and sending them home because of coronavirus concerns, sources tell ESPN. Others have simply canceled travel. Officials expect most, if not all, teams to take similar action within a matter of days.

If I understand correctly, herd immunity comes from exposure. If you limit exposure, you also limit development of herd immunity? Kind of a catch-22, I think.

Right - but if 10% of your herd is immune it could affect the growth curve. Not sure.

Except recovering doesn't grant you immunity. You can be re-infected.

In general it will cause immunity. Reinfection is generally unlikely, although you can have a relapse. Immunocompromised individuals may be more likely to have this happen
