Nzoner's Game Room>Odell Beckham Jr. [to the Rams]
arrowheadnation 09:44 AM 11-03-2021

I'm told #Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. has been told he's excused from practice today, per league source. Additionally, it is my understanding that OBJ was ready to attend practice per usual.

Bring him in for a look? (if he's cut of course)

Honestly, he went to the best place for him.

McVay is one of the best offensive minds in the game, he's going to a pass happy offense that quite frankly is playing better than ours right now. McVay is better at scheming guys open and featuring them than Reid is. McVay also brings a youthful energy that guys like to play for, and their offense isn't struggling right now. AND they have a loaded defense.

Chiefs fans might not like to hear it, but it's true.

The city is just the icing on the cake.

The Rams are a better football fit for him. It is what it is. He made the right decision.

You got data?

No team is using their WR's more than the Rams are this year. You think OBJ's camp don't know that?

I don't need data. Watch Sunday night. Eye test. **** OBJ, we didn't need him anyways. Malcontent. Mcvay ain't one shit.

Clearly demonstrates McVay knows how to scheme certain players targets.

Remember when Robert Woods bitched about not getting targets and then the following game they featured him and fed him the ball?

When has Andy Reid ever said something like this?

That's just not how the Chiefs roll. They don't focus on feeding 1 particular guy the ball. Their offense is about going through reads and throwing to the open receiver, whoever the fuck that might be.

We've seen plenty of games in which players like Tyreek and Kelce are invisible afterthoughts rather than focused on getting the ball in their hands.

Lol ok, well, OBJ based his decision on football merits. Im sorry if that bothers your emotions, but there are other teams in this league, and some of them in fact do some things better than the Chiefs.

Lmao this is exactly how I feel. Dude signed such a small contract and they are already firing on all cylinders. I don’t think this dude is walking in there as a prima Dona. He knows if this doesn’t work out well for him he will be known as a distraction.

He’s going to go 100% show he’s not that guy people are saying he is, and work hard for a new big contract next year.

This is a 1 year prove it contract half way through the season. Dudes gone next year if he shows even an inkling of being an issue

Odell factored the big city market too don't dismiss that

He would have been talked about on every damn NFL show for the rest of the season. There's no more significant piece than that.

OBJ made a stupid ****ing decision.
Agreed 100%

Would’ve been great for us too and would relieve so much pressure off Tyreek. Is what it is.

If he doesn't get touches will he keep his mouth shut, or will he quit on his team like he's done twice before.

At the very least it will add drama.
At the very least they cut him. As the quote above stated, they don’t need him. He’s not needed at all.

If he came to KC and things started to turn around and his touches go down after a few games, that’s where drama starts.

The Rams aren’t having the issues other teams are having which again like the other poster above stated so we’ll, he made a dumb decision going somewhere he wasn’t needed

And what if he came to KC and the offense didn't improve or he wasn't integrated into the offense just like all our other offensive free agent pickups?

Same thing that’s where the drama starts. That’s why I’m saying with the Rams there won’t be any drama because he doesn’t have any leverage.

If he’s not a good boy he’s gone and every team will know why and that will hurt his careers future.

Him going to the Rams was the worst thing for him IMO but is great for the Rams to just load on top of an already loaded offense

Wait...so the best move for him is a place where he could cause drama? That makes no sense.
