Nzoner's Game Room>Chiefs potentially building new stadium in Kansas
Sassy Squatch 09:45 AM 03-29-2022

Chiefs prez Mark Donovan, when asked this AM about potential new stadium options, said the team has considered options in state of Kansas. They like Arrowhead and legacy of Lamar Hunt’s stadium, but have been pitched by Kansas developers on a bunch of options. Something to watch.

I wonder if the timing has anything to do with H.R.6806 that was introduced last month.

H.R.6806 - No Tax Subsidies for Stadiums Act of 2022

Although that would seem to apply to both Kansas and Missouri. Perhaps Kansas was signalling that they were willing to pony up more local funds?

The rest of the Nation won't even know it switched states lol

I bet, if asked across the Nation what state is the Kansas City Chiefs located 80% would say Kansas. Regardless of Kansas City Mo.

I too, can't think of a single thing that has changed in the area since 2002 except for everything.

They leave Arrowhead and a rebranding of the team becomes a lot easier.

Let's just cut out all the posturing. Patrick will say where he wants it, and it will be so.
