And here's our replacement for Clone Wars. Coming to Disney XD in fall 2014. Bridges the gap between Eps 3 and 4. Looks...very cool. Conceptually.
Bit more detail:

The series will mine material from the 19 years that follow Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and precede the Episode IV: A New Hope. In other words, using the life of the Skywalker twins as a measure, the series will be active in the story years that come after their separation as newborns and before their (unwitting) reunion on the prison level of the Death Star.
No word on whether the show will feature Darth Vader (who would be in the Empire’s power consolidation years and earning his reputation) or even pull in a character like Han Solo, the smuggler and cynic who becomes an unlikely freedom fighter when he opts to stand with his friends against cosmic odds. The title of the show is vaguely phrased in a way that any rebel — even a Boba Fett or Ahsoka Tano might qualify as a title character merely by walking an outsider’s path.
The series has three executive producers: Dave Filoni, the point man on The Clone Wars animated series that launched in 2008; screenwriter and producer Simon Kinberg, who has a flair for tonal rewiring and energizing familiar brands with new edge (e.g.: X-Men: First Class, Sherlock Holmes); and Greg Weisman, whose credits include well-regarded work on Young Justice and The Spectacular Spider-Man.

My daughter and I are on episode 10 of season 2 of Clone Wars and it's incredible. That said, Rebels Season 2 looks to top everything.
Also, it looks like they're going to explore something I've expected since the beginning of Rebels:
Spoiler!
Ezra Bridger ends up on the Dark side and it would be insane if he becomes Vader's apprentice. It'll be interesting if he's the character in The Force Awakens from the Rebels era, although Ahsoka would be cool, too.
“George and I had several conversations about it…we had everything mapped out. If you watch the Season Six episodes on Netflix where Fives discovers the [Order 66] chip, Fives tells Rex…I’ve always felt the truth can break any spell.” [Reply]
So today, someone asked Dave Filoni if Darth Revan would eventually become canon. Filoni responded "Anything is possible".
I had no idea who Darth Revan was, so I did a web search. As those of you that are familiar, Kylo Ren looks almost identical to Revan. I also read a passage in which Revan led an extremely long life.
Pure and utter speculation but could Andy Serkis be Revan? [Reply]

I'm not an expert, but Revan is from before the Old Republic, is he not? That would make him like twice or three times the age of Yoda, right? Not saying it's impossible or anything....
And if Revan can be considered canon, then Darth Bane has a chance at this thing? Revan was consumed with Bane's knowledge (or was it the other way around? Where is SDW when you need him?).... [Reply]

I'm not sure if the implications are that Revan is 5,000 years old or that they're using Darth Revan in the "present" tense.
