This is a pretty great song but at 0:32-0:33 an instrument kicks in that I can't place.

What is that instrument? Is that a harmonica, or some sort of woodwind, or what?

Sounds like some type of flute to my ears.

Thanks.

There is flute in the song, but the flute is pretty unmistakable.

There's another, more twangy sound that's deeper that kicks in several times in the song. It almost sounds like a Jew's Harp if you could play notes on one.

My leading guess is that it's some sort of harmonica.

Bass harmonica

You can hear one very prominently on the soundtrack of the old sitcom Green Acres. They parodied the sound it made on MST3K with an invention they called the "porkarina."

Ah, I was picking up an entirely different instrument then.

Tommy Morgan famously played Bass Harmonica on the introit to Streetbeater, . . . aka Sanford and Son Theme.

Phenomenal. Thank you so much.

Sounds great in the right context. Couldn't put my finger on it.

That was a whistle. This is a vibration.
