Nzoner's Game Room>Tesla Cybertruck
DaFace 10:45 PM 11-21-2019
Well, he said it was going to be different.

The #Cybertruck, Tesla’s all-new electric pickup truck, is here, and it can take a sledgehammer to the door while nary a dent. The all-electric pickup will offer up to 500 miles of range and start at $39,000. https://t.co/7a8YBicIkC

Starts at $40k, though. That's impressive.

The biggest strike against this truck for the worker who works from a pickup is when your out in middle of nowhere something goes wrong with it. Who the hell to call? Your stuck time is money that there seals its fate as a fleet truck. But this isn't the market Elon is after he is looking for the cool factor crowd.

It does seem like a new age Ford sport Trac or whatever those were called. Small bed, can haul the family around. They seemed to do well for a while

It has a bigger bed and seats more people. It's almost exactly like any current full size short bed crew cab truck, only electric.

In the next iteration, I bet they get rid of the gas tank that doesn't do anything but store gasoline.

I'm guessing this version is not meant to replace the F-350 super duty

It wont replace a working F150 or 1500 either.

Almost as though they didn't set out to design a work truck!

Whats the point of a truck then? A SUV would be a better alternative if your going to tow a boat or trailer for camping.

You'd have to ask the tens of millions of people driving trucks that rarely or never tow anything I suppose.

Well they are stupid I drive trucks for work most of my life. I own the biggest sedan I can afford for the comfort.

Aturnis just typed out a novella explaining how it can do everything my work pickup can do but 4000% better.

One of the two of you is wrong.

One thing that’s odd about it is that it is so streamlined that it actually looks much lower and smaller than it is. Clearance looks low, headspace looks small, and the bed seems non existent. I imagine that alone is something truck people would have a hard time getting past.

For everyone complaining that it isn't and can never be a work truck: This isn't meant for you.

This is meant for the guys that drive $70,000 fully loaded half tons stuffed with leather seats and trim, bose audio, heating and cooling seats, etc. As somebody said above, think of it as an electric SUV with an open cargo area.
