Nzoner's Game Room>How good are the Chiefs chances at the AFC's #1 seed?

Teams that actually matter in this conversation:

Kansas City (10-4) (vs PIT, at CIN, at DEN)

New England (9-5) (vs BUF, vs JAC, at MIA)

Tennessee (9-5) (vs SF, vs MIA, at HOU)

Baltimore (8-5) (vs GB, at CIN, vs LAR, vs PIT)

Buffalo (8-6) (at NE, vs ATL, vs NYJ)

Indianapolis (8-6) (at ARI, vs LV, at JAC)

LA Chargers (8-6) (at HOU, vs DEN, at LV)

---

Being 1 game back with six games to play seems incredibly generous given our shitty tiebreaker situation. I'll put our odds at 99.9999999%

We're talking about the 1 seed, not a win/loss in the playoffs. A tiebreaker in October DOES matter.

Not good
Too many teams to jump with tie breaker advantages
That being said I’m afraid of none of them on the road.

I think you have to see what Chiefs team shows up for our games and which officiating crews show up for all those games. Both of those things matter.

It does. But the Tits will lose two more anyway so it'll end up being irrelevant.

They aren't the same team they were during that game against us. Not even close.

Titans are pure garbage.

They lose 1 game, it’s gone due to tie breakers with the other contenders. We’d still get home field for the first two games.

you coach kids games, right. The officiating is bad.

You know that if you lose a game because of the refs, you lost the game. Rarely, if ever, does a team bring their “A” game and still lose due to a ref call.

I'm not going to disagree that if you're good enough you can sometimes even overcome bad officiating.

But none of that really addresses how the NFL's officiating crews get away with inconsistent calls.

Titans are cooked. They might miss the playoffs at this rate.

The #Titans ruled out WR AJ Brown (chest) for Sunday’s game vs. the #Patriots. No Derrick Henry, no Julio Jones, no AJ Brown.

If that happens, the Chiefs finish 13-4.

The Bills would need to win out, but they have two games remaining against New England. A split takes care of whoever wins the East.

The Ravens are dropping a minimum of 2 more. If they don’t win the North, then that tie breaker doesn’t matter.

It really just comes down to the Titans. They’re very capable of dropping 2 more. I’ll guarantee they lose at least one.
We just need to win out. If that happens, I have a really hard time believing we won’t take the 1-seed.

The stars, they are aligning
Like 2019 reminding
When the Dolphins beat the Pats in week 18 will be defining
Number 1 seed we’re taking
Super Bowl run in the making
When we punch our ticket to LA, opponents will be shaking
