We had Lucas Niang at #57 in the KC Draft Guide, so this is awesome valued. Played through a hip injury last year. This is definitely a guy earmarked to take over for one of the Chiefs tackles in the future. pic.twitter.com/a1P53sN9bL
New Chiefs OT/OG @Kbniang8 has some WILD college stats. He didn’t allow a single sack in 975 career pass blocking snaps. If that’s not impressive enough, he committed just 3 penalties on 1,982 career snaps.#NFLDraft | #Chiefs | #ChiefsKingdom

They did the Jones one the right way, trying it at the beginning of the year and will still have time to course correct.

Not that I'm aware of.
I think Stroupe has made subtle digs about the pocket and RT position over the course of the past few weeks, so I think he wants Niang to get a little more seasoning. [Reply]

You mean Jones still has time to bulk back up and they can still sign a DE in the off season instead of spending their money on Reed?

That may be true, but Jones injury was rumored before week 1 and starting with Browns and Ravens was not ideal time for change.
I think a fully healthy Jones will get snaps at both spots, but probably less at DE than projected after training camp. [Reply]
