McKinnon is a very willing and effective pass protector.
Any RB is giving up strength/size to a blitzing LBer - technique and effort is all it really takes past a certain size threshhold.
McKinnon is over 200 lbs - he's plenty big enough to stand in the way. And has the agility that Williams lacks that can also help him stay in front of CB/S blitzes to boot. [Reply]
Chiefs coach Andy Reid said everybody practiced today.
Specific to Tyreek Hill (heel), Clyde Edwards-Helaire (shoulder), Darrel Williams (toe), Reid said they "looked good" in practice and team will continue evaluating them in the coming days.
Honestly, pass blocking isn't a huge concern. More often than not, Andy wants everybody running routes and it hasn't been a big issue because teams refuse to send extra blitzers against Mahomes.
The offensive line has been pretty damn good all things considered. [Reply]

Basically. They're 2nd in attempts and 2nd in pass percentage. They're throwing the ball almost 70% of the time this season but despite that, Mahomes is probably the healthiest he's been since 2018.
