you mean globally? Or are you stating in the US we will have 1.25 times the deaths in one day that we have had in 2 weeks?

It is not going to get as bad as some are making it out to be. Not in this country anyway.

The 50 states in US feel like 50 different countries each trying to do its own thing. I see more collective effort from other big countries that have state/provincial governments.

The U.S needs one direction.

We are about 7-10 days away from peek deaths hopefully due to what we are doing with social distancing. We are doing better than most on the death rate so I’m hoping it takes a little bit longer than this weekend to hit that number. Other countries death rate percentages are going to be higher than ours...

It wouldn’t surprise me either way, we have mor population at risk than other countries sans China and India and I don’t trust xhinas numbers at all

US trending 1.5x faser than China, 3x faster than Italy. NY may be stabilizing 🙌 Hats off to CA, MA, and NH for trending down! See highlighted daily trend vs China #covid19 #coronavirus #cdc #usa #stayhome #cali #nyc #ny #ma #nh pic.twitter.com/ypjqFUP5q5

Georgia hospitals have been reusing masks. Now 2 health care workers are dead. Neither worked in the ICU or ER.

A Georgia health care worker dies of coronavirus: "The woman, 42, had been dead 12 to 16 hours when police, checking on her welfare, discovered her body...Her child, apparently 4 or 5 years old, was in the home at the time." From @AJC https://t.co/h4viiGtkKi

a week ago we were @ 1k per day, and 2 weeks ago 400.

Do you not see a trend?

It's almost like you aren't happy unless you are painting a doom and gloom scenario with every one of your posts.

Us was averaging 40 deaths per day a week ago, today 225. One day is not a trend but if we have 250-300 tomorrow it will be trending that way also

That's not what I asked.

I see all kinds of trends. Like our country has been and is continuing to run an a death rate of less than half of the global average.

You guys continue to discount any mitigation of any kind whatsoever.

So, I will ask again, are you saying on a single day this weekend 1,000 people are going to die in the US alone?

Exactly. 14 days ago we were told that by today our streets were supposed to be flooded with dead bodies because Italy was bad but had a much better health care system than we do.

Seriously. That's what a lot of people were saying and you know that to be true as well.

I’m not all gloom and doom, but it’s time to take off the Rose colored glasses off and start looking at this seriously. Grateful I live in the us and no the European Union, South America or China. When it’s all said and done our country would have handled this properly by making sure people that need it get ventilators and icu beds. Those other places can’t mass produce like we can.

We had 225 new deaths today. over half of those from the most densely populated area in the country.

You have to have some context on this.
