Nzoner's Game Room>Any Bourbon drinkers out there?
The Poz 01:04 PM 06-19-2008
I've heard some good things about Buffalo Trace Bourbon.
http://www.buffalotrace.com/

Can't get it up here north of the border but, through a wine distributer I am able to order a case. Would like to hear from someone who knows their stuff and has tried it before I order.

Thanks

I decided to make a bourbon bracket using my non-rye or finished bottles in my collection.

Wife pours them and I sample blind. Been fun (if not predictable) so far.

I found a bottle of Kentucky Owl St Patricks edition today. Should I save it a couple of weeks and enjoy it on St. Patty’s day?

I haven't cracked mine yet, that may change this weekend.

Very cool.

Are you smelling them or blinding that as well? The smell alone on a few would make my mouth water or dry heave depending on the bottle someone put in front of my.

I didn't get my bracket filled out before you started. :-)

Bulleit makes some damn good stuff. Find the green label rye is you're making cocktails.

The lower tier 4 roses is a crowd pleaser for drinks too because it's nicely sweet and very smooth.

:-)

I have officially taken a higher administrative position and my therapy staff got me this to say goodbye. A drink and a smoke.

Picked up a private barrel this weekend. Tried it alongside barrel proof... definitely the heavier hitter between the two, but was pretty similar overall. Both are excellent and this one is pretty easily the highest proof I've tried in the past couple years of getting into bourbon.

Y'all pouring some fine bourbon. If anyone is looking for an Irish whiskey recommendation for St. Pats I'm real fond of Bushmill's black label.

Sometimes known as 'Black Bush' until you marry a brunette and then it opens a can of worms. My other St. Pat's tradition is to yell 'Erin go braless!' instead of Erin go bragh
