This is awesome news. I figured it was coming because Chapek mentioned after the latest investor's meeting about 10 days ago that their releases were fluid and Disney+ was still in play for Black Widow.

I'm kinda bummed it was moved to July 9th, which will coincide with the 5th (of 6) episode of Loki on Disney+, but cool nonetheless.

Definitely first day Premiere Access for me. :-)

Yep for me as well. Or in a theater? Just depends on how I feel that weekend.

Now what’s up with Top Gun? Will Paramount move that again?

As much as I enjoy seeing films in theaters, it's not going to feel like a "real" cinematic experience here for probably another year, so I'll definitely do the Disney+ release.

As for Top Gun 2, last I heard was that Paramount is keeping their theatrical release date intact but their films will appear on Paramount+ 45 days after release.

But, it's Paramount, so who really knows until it's all said and done? They're almost as poorly run as Warner Brothers, which is something I would have never expected before the AT&T purchase.

I'm going to try and see in theaters but guess I'll definitely wait and see.

Scarlett Johansen.

The sole reason I will see it, at some point.

She’s nice to look at. But I’ve always thought she’s pretty dead as an actress.

Rachel Weisz and ScarJo need to scissor in every scene in the movie.

Do this and break box office records.

It’s late AF so I’ll keep it brief for now: it was bad ass. It’s super tightly edited with some amazing fight and action sequences. The movie is really taught, with no wasted scenes or fillers.

The casting is fantastic as usual. ScarJo was great, Rachel Weisz was really convincing (she’s always so good but I haven’t seen her in a role quite like this), Florence Pugh was very good but David Harbour stole all of his scenes. Just really great all around, including the great Ray Winstone.

I can’t really compare it to any of the other Marvel films. At times, it felt like a later Mission Impossible film due to the editing and music but it was so much “smaller” in scope, which really served it well.

I’m looking forward to watching it again and definitely stick around for the end credit scene.

Guess I'll let you know what I think in 3 months. As much as I want to see it, there's no way I'm spending $30 to stream a movie.

So go spend $8-$10 on a theater matinee then?
