And one can only handle so much discussion about mother-daughter prostitute teams, evangelical bewilderment, Frankenstein mountain ram breeds, and viciously ferocious Aldi cashiers…
So I thought I'd make a thread of the 2023 initial 53 man roster (with Chris Jones and Charles Omenihu added) vs a 2024 projected 53 man roster (with other potential rostered and practice squad players listed underneath) to encourage some Chiefs-related chatter and comparison/growth/etc of the team and pointing out some potential position battles and such.
That and honestly, I find it a bit easier to compare when all the information of the changes is in one place.
I placed Spoilers on each Position Group so this first post doesn't go to an even more absurd length, and I'll try to edit this every so often when new signings and such occur.

A lot of position groups upgraded IMO. One notably feels a bit weaker (Defensive Backs) but there's still talent all over that room. [Reply]

I'm right there with you. I personally hope Bailey can come fill that RB3 Spot and that Hicks and Hadden can make their presence known in the secondary along with Nazeeh being that guy a lot think he can be. [Reply]

Good point, it's either gonna be Wanya or Kingsley. I will say, it's a good sign (to me at least) that Donovan is still a free agent. I feel like if they weren't sure in one of those two that he would be back on the roster. [Reply]

If Smith comes back it's probably training camp, he has no reason to be at OTA's taking reps from the young guys. [Reply]

Thanks, I meant to write it at the end because he'll be on the IR I think and completely spaced out. Added! [Reply]

Also valid. I'd just feel like we'd lock up our guy before someone else potentially does, but yea, we could just be sitting on it until training camp. [Reply]

come time around training camp if they don't like what they are seeing with the the two young guys we got at LT, they'll probably sign a veteran like Smith again. [Reply]
The training camp battle that will be particularly interesting to me will be the safety spots. Reid and Cook are the incumbents, but I think Chamarri Conner may have been the best safety on the field at season end. And in reading about Jaden Hicks, it seems like he was a draft steal for us. I wouldn't be surprised at any combination of these guys starting in Week 1. [Reply]

I think what appeals most to me about our secondary is just how versatile it is and can be with just a few substitutions. Spags can have our secondary approach literally any situation with all the talent and different skillsets brought to the table.
Looking forward to Nazeeh and Chamarri big-time this year! [Reply]
