I’d rather have Brown than Williams.

Williams is always hurt and he’s not getting any younger.

Perfect? Fuck that. Hated the idea of giving him a massive contract and so far that's been proven correct. Couldn't play in a must win game week 18 and an old injury hobbled him to the point he could barely weight bear against the Packers. Dudes a fucking broke dick regardless of talent and we're so fucking lucky to not have invested all that cap into him.

I prefer players who don't have terminal cancer.

Didn't he make 1st team all pro?

Still, he is older.

Who gives a fuck if he's first team all pro when he can't play or is incredibly hobbled on the most important games.

"Great, you got us here. Now let's get Remmers in here since your boo boos from years ago are flaring up again and you can't play"

FUCK. THAT.

Williams ain't perfect. Old and injury problems. I like what we've seen lately from both Brown & Mahomes. They're working better together as time goes along.

The more Mahomes embraces a dink & dunk attitude like Brady or Brees, the more unstoppable this offense will be if the OL is pretty solid. The OL has been very solid lately. Patrick's worst enemy in the past was his own desire to go for the deeper throws on every play. He is starting to show signs of evolving into a much more patient QB. This should terrify the hell out of DC's around the league.

He’s also currently not practicing before the NFC championship game.

Creed wasn’t All Pro. Any centers you would take over him and his age?

Nope. Me neither.

That says a lot about positional value. High end LTs rarely if ever hit the open market. They are arguably the second most important position on offense after QB.

Well, sure. Hindsight it worked out perfect for KC.

But Williams is the best LT in the league right now.

Not right now this instant he's not because he's injured.

Underneath routes also largely neutralize Brown's biggest weakness as well. Simply being a very wide person that has to be run around makes speed rushers take an extra step. If Mahomes continues to hit the back of his drop then climb forward if he needs another second (something he did damn near perfectly against Buffalo), that extra step from speed rushers is probably all the space he needs to hit those crossing routes.

Then once the crossers start hitting safeties start coming downfield but only after speed rushers start getting frustrated and looking for loops/stunts and setup moves that can give PM the time to take the longer drop and look for kill shots.

Brown will be just fine in this offense going forward. Just pay the guy.

Williams has played 90% of the possible games for the 49ers over the last 2 years. He's been sturdy enough of late.

And it's pretty hard to say he's not the only person on the field as physically dominant as Aaron Donald. There aren't many guys out there who can just impose their will on NFL players and those are the two that immediately spring to mind.

Yeah, Williams is about as close to a perfect OT as you'll find. He's the nearest thing we've had in awhile to Willie Roaf.

But like I said earlier, there's nothing that says Orlando Brown can't be Jason Peters. And that's PLENTY good enough.

Brown needs to be resigned, period. Hes young and has amazing potential. He could get better when it comes to speed rushers.

ALSO

Wait till we see the REAL value in Brown when we draft or get another stud workhorse back. We never got to really see this offense for long with Hunt. But this offensive line with a dominate running game would be unstoppable.

Careful clowntaylor is coming with a cuss word filled novel about how you're wrong.

It's not that complicated. Williams is probably the best LT, but Orlando is younger and doing very well for himself. No complaints.
