For all things Royals in 2022. #3 minor league system according to Baseball America. The Bobby Witt era should begin this year. Will Salvy still be the homerun king? How does the glut of infield players work out? Will the young pitchers take the next step?

So it's all happening at the timeline most thought when Santana was first signed.

I'm very happy right now with this!

It's also fucking insane to me that Vinnie doesn't even have a first Bowman card yet. Like wtf Topps?

Yep. Taco Bell went rogue that day.

Tuffy Rhodes was the next one, for the Cubs in 94. He was a former Royal so it felt like he did it to us.

Matt Davison 2018.

And one more guy- in 2005.

He was signed as a two year placeholder that you could flip to get Pratto ready for the bigs, which turned into Vinny, but it serves as the same thing.

Santana, who already has 212 plate appearances this season, will earn an additional $75K for every 25th plate appearance from 300 to 525.

There’s no velocity change between his ’21 and ’22 campaigns, though Mills did throw more fastballs at the expense of some slider usage during this year’s small sample of 8 2/3 big league innings. The 6’4″ righty has never ranked as one of the Mariners’ very best prospects, but Baseball America has listed him among Seattle’s top 25 farmhands dating back to the time he was drafted.

Fleming, meanwhile, is a 23-year-old righty whom the Mariners selected in the 11th round just one year ago. He generally hasn’t been considered among the Mariners’ best prospects either — though FanGraphs’ Eric Longenhagen did tab him 28th earlier this year — and has posted fairly pedestrian numbers in Class-A Modesto despite being a former college arm who’s older than his average opponent at that level. So far, Fleming has tossed 67 2/3 innings over 14 starts and logged a 4.92 ERA with a 20.7% strikeout rate against an 8.4% walk rate.

Ah shit, what was his name? Tito something, played first base for the Yankees and did it in the first game of the season in his first game against his former team the Mariners. Why can I not remember his last name? I've got Santana on the brain and that's not even close to being correct, haha.
