OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

The coolest part of that is how different all those offenses are.

It makes for a better league/product when there are different ways to go about winning games.

This is pretty funny because the offense has looked really good thus far in the season. About 32.3 offensive PPG four games in.

The 2018 offense averaged 35.3 PPG for the entire year lol that offense was a different monster.

And poor Lions fans :-)

How do you lead the league in scoring but still end up 1-3? They have the most productive offense in the league saddled with the worst defense in the league, by far. They just can't ever get it right.

Ehh they just don't have much talent on that side of the ball. I'm sure they're still way more fun to watch, and the future is brighter than it's been in some time.

It's actually probably better for them that they have one more year of high draft picks.

And as good as the Lions have been on offense, they still haven't unleashed Jameson Williams. You get a legit QB, and throw him into the mix, and that offense can be ridiculously good.

According to Mahomes from his interview with Rich Eisen. This was his favorite play he has ever called. Did I mention I love having Patrick Mahomes on my team! pic.twitter.com/aveToTXMb4

Here's another wild tidbit: I'm pretty sure he actually throws a spiral on this; this is not a lob. Look at the ball in the video from the reverse angle; the ball is actually spinning.

Mahomes is not human.

I also think we underestimate how hard it is to flick that ball with just the right touch after a spin when you're moving towards the end zone and have a defender in your face. It would have been easy to push out of the end zone.

I think he has very stretchy / loose ligaments, good for throwing footballs and avoiding certain joint injuries but it was probably played a part in his patella dislocation.

Did you get the impression that many of us are just sitting around like "P'shaw - I could do that..."?

I kinda feel like everyone is perfectly estimating how hard it is to do what he did there...
