The Gonzo Lounge>Chiefs Trade for OT Orlando Brown
Dante84 01:00 PM 04-23-2021
developing.

The #Ravens are trading LT Orlando Brown to the #Chiefs, per me and @MikeGarafolo. A new blindside protector for Patrick Mahomes.

Kansas City is trading its first-round pick Thursday night, along with three other picks in the 2021 and 2022 drafts, to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for Pro Bowl OT Orlando Brown and one pick in the 2021 draft and another in 2022, per sources.

Full details: #Chiefs get:
Orland Brown, 2021 2nd and a 2022 6th rounder
Ravens get: 2021 1st, 3rd, 4th and 20221 5th

Brown is going to strap Mahomes in babybjorn style for a decade.

Having 2 second rounders will not only be awesome but allows Veach to trade back and pickup an extra 3rd or 4th that was just traded away.

I'd rather see him take two guys in the second but options are nice.

Not gonna lie, did not see this one coming nor did I think if it did KC would be able to do it for so cheap. Veach continues to impress.

My thoughts exactly. If you arenít able to get exactly what you want, trade down or into 2022 where the draft depth is supposed to be incredible.

WOW.

I did not think there was any way in hell the Ravens would trade him to us.

I'll tell you one thing-Clyde's YPC will go up significantly. We rebuilt the line to be able to run the ball when we want to.

No, I'm not saying we're going Martyball, I'm saying that teams will legitimately have to respect the run or we'll eat them alive.

He said 20/year was what he was looking for in an extension.

Veach will make magic happen and his cap hit the next 2 years wonít be more than 15m.

I'm not a draft guy, but OB for essentially our 1st, and we add a second rd.....we can do a lot of damage with that!

Mahomes might not get sacked all year.

Say what you will about this organization and what they may or may not have done in the past, but there is no team in this entire league that goes more all in and balls to walls than the current Kansas City Chiefs under Hunt, Veach and Reid.

I mean it is utterly incredible. They never stop and never settle. Such an amazing feeling to know I'm rooting for a team that truly wants to win Super Bowls more than anything else.
