Mid to late 80's to the end of Jordan's Bullsl run was without a doubt the golden years. The Lakers/Kings rivalry was kind of fun after that, but the East became so bad that it really hurt the game. I didn't think the whole Pierce Celts and Kobe Lakes rivalry was all the great but OMG Celts/Lakers!!! Blah. The level of basketball was poor and all the team hopping killed it.

There are very clearly legitimate arguments against Brady being GOAT (and even some against LeBron, although those are fading with every record he breaks) but that certainly isn't one of them.

I don't know what killed it for other fans. But the reffing was so obviously lopsided in that series, I stopped caring.

I watch a few games for giggles during the playoffs, but when you have to check the name on the jersey before making calls...,

Way out of proportion to anything even Brady got in the NFL...
