The Chiefs probably have a bead on some of the free agent holes they can fill with veterans post draft and I think that might figure into where they go with their picks.. Melvin Ingram and KJ Wright have got my attention and to a lesser degree the TE and running back rooms could add a cheap veteran prescence in the form of T.J. Yeldon, Adrian Peterson or even Todd Gurley if they can be had for cheap.

It's a good group of players. Lots of options, with edge rushers who can contribute Year 1 in situational rush roles, WR who can work the middle, a quriky, mauling IOL, and some coverage LB with upside.

I disagree on the importance of drafting a LB.

Chiefs don't keep very many so each one is important.

Anthony Hitchens is signed for two more years but 2022 cap is around $12.7 M. I really hope that Gay is really good, but we don't have any idea yet.

If Nick Bolton or Jabril Cox is there, I could see the Chiefs drafting.
