I didn't forget Baker. He's a former 1st round pick who was so bad on and off the field that the Giants cut him after 16 games. He signed a 1-year deal with the Chiefs and has no guarantee of making the team now, let alone getting re-signed after 2021.
As of right now, the Chiefs have 2 guys capable of playing NFL CB under contract beyond 2021 - Fenton and Sneed. Everybody else has big question marks as to whether or not they'll even be here. [Reply]

I think you're overstating the Baker situation, while understating the dumbfuckery of Gettleman and the Giants front office and being pessimistic about the Chiefs likelihood of re-signing at least one CB.
I'm about half sure we're going to bring Breeland back this year on another one year deal, to be honest.
And we've gotten rather good at finding late round gems that are good system fits here. I'm sure we'll take one, I just don't think it'll be in the second. [Reply]

I'm not saying they will take a CB in the 2nd but they absolutely could. People are pretending like it's not a need or that the Chiefs aren't looking at the position when in reality, they are and they've met with a couple of highly touted guys already. [Reply]
I think it's more likely right now they take a CB in the 2nd than a WR, given what Veach said about draft depth at both positions.
He is high on Callaway and Pringle. I also noticed Maurice Ffrench has been working his ass off, running routes, catches passes and being more vocal. He could be more involved this offseason. [Reply]

He also said in his presser that the "sweet" spot for WR in this draft seems to be the 3rd to 4th round. [Reply]
