My neighbor gets a box of undesirable veggies delivered every two weeks. Perfectly fine, but really oddly shaped and other defects. They pay a premium for the service. It supposedly helps with food waste.
This poll will rank what CPers and their families think are acceptable. [Reply]
Since I could only pick one option, I went with "root vegetables are always good". I picked that option because root vegetables are always good.
Aside from that, I'm not too worried about the shape of a vegetable if it tastes good.
I just got back to Denver tonight and we thought we might lose our whole garden. We have a dozen different types of plants - tomatoes, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, cantaloupe, and so on - but the temperature unexpectedly dropped below freezing and it snowed. We figured that might kill everything, but it looks like they all made it just fine. We lost a couple of decent-sized branches from our biggest tree, though. [Reply]

We're getting that cold weather tonight. I think the plants will be OK, I hope. [Reply]
