That's a tough one.

I know many prescribe to the don't veto / let it happen with trades unless it's obvious collusion. I don't think this is. I think Carter for Ekeler straight up would be, but in this case, the green horn thinks he's getting 2 starting RBs for 1 whose under performed (in his mind). It's a bad read and a bad trade, but I think it's honest.

With that said, I also prescribe to the notion that fair trades have one player getting no more than 30% extra value on a trade value chart. There are many out there, but this is my favorite (he posts a new updated thread each Wednesday): https://www.reddit.com/r/fantasyfoot...rts_week_2_te/

This trade breaks my personal rule that I think everyone should follow. Since it's not obvious collusion, I would abstain from voting but share your trade chart of preference with the player (or on the team message board) and encourage more careful consideration in the future.

It's currently in a 4 up 4 down tie. I have not voted and one guy who works our weekend shift has not voted. Its a 12 man league and requires at least 5 votes to stop it (usually we dont get full participation, and the two involved parties dont get a vote)

I would not veto the trade as commish unless there was evidence of bullying through the trade. Who proposed the trade, how was it countered (if it was) and what kind of communication was involved would be things I would potentially look into since it is this contentious

In my leagues we dont do league votes. Its a dumb premise. If you have someone in your league that is so ignorant that he gives his players away, boot him.

You dont have people who are friends in your league? who could collude? I was in a league once with a husband and wife. At week 10 they started trading all the good players to the wifes team.

The current league i was asking for is a work league. And like most work places there are people who would collude to have a preferred co worker beat the foreman's pet ect. Many of these guys are green or just a year or two in. One trade accepted was DK metcalf for the cowboys wr wilson on accident and chubb for daryl hederson after henderson had a really good week. Wolves will forever hunt sheep and the vote is a handy dandy sheep dog to keep the balance of power. 6 of the 10 teams not involved directly have to vote it down.

I asked the wisdom of CP because it seemed fair but two people in the league felt it was last years champ taking advantage of a second year guy, who works sunday nights and doesnt see a lot of football and may be missing the Eckeler name value.
