Don't want to clutter up the thread too much but apparently they're going for some effort clause so they can suspend him and void his guaranteed money.

If I had to guess, it would appear the Texans might be looking to put together a case for breach for failure to use best efforts.

That’s why I don’t buy that the starting RG job is waiting for Long when he returns. At this point, Andy can’t feel too confident about his ability to stay healthy, and he would probably prefer to just let Smith grow into the role from now until week 1.
