Hey, what do you guys have planned as far as sides for Easter Sunday? Trying to come up with something slightly different this year. Maybe something with green beans?

I’m planning on working, but if I was running a thing that I wanted to be special, it would be Easter Brisket.

The meat church YT channel had some deep fried deviled eggs. I didn’t watch, but they looked interesting.

If you’re looking to treat yourself, crème brûlée is really not hard, it just takes a long time and a culinary torch.

Depending on how many you have to feed, roasted green beans are fucking good. Toss in oil and on a cookie sheet at 450 with convection for 15-20. I microplane some garlic on there. I like them hot as hell. Cumin and chipotle powder, but that may not be what you’re going for. You could dice some jalapeño and toss them in. Or finish with some roasted pablanos.

I like spicy shit.

Thx for the recommendations, guys. Think I'm going to try the roasted green beans recipe. Might throw in some roasted garlic puree, and maybe toss in a few dried tomatoes? Sounds good in my head anyway.

Lol, maybe. We're having a baked ham as the main course, so I'm ambivalent about using more pork products. Though I could throw some bits into the roasted garlic/dried tomato puree instead of salt/seasonings. Just found a can of chipotle so that might get incorporated as well, though I've been on a simplicity kick of late so trying to keep the number of ingredients down this time.

Had some Sicilian pizza for lunch with a nice Chianti at NYPD Pizza in Chandler.

Wanted to go for a cigar after I was done but Puro Cigar Bar and the entire area in downtown Chandler was a crowded clusterfuck.

How about a nice pear tart or onion and cheese tart?

Grilled peaches and whipped ricotta?

Even a grilled corn or grilled head of romaine with shaved Parmesan.

Something to cut down on the salt and heaviness of the ham.
