Ravens declared WR Sammy Watkins (hamstring) out for Week 6 against the Chargers.

Watkins has been playing well this season with a strong 2.09 yards per route run. His absence comes at an unfortunate time, as it could allow Rashod Bateman the chance to earn additional playing time if he has a strong debut. Even if Bateman delivers on a strong prospect profile, Watkins is still likely to play ahead fo Devin Duvernay when he returns. Duvernay has run a route on 62% of dropbacks but has an extremely poor 0.83 YPRR, and the Ravens offense would operate more efficiently with Bateman or Watkins taking over his role.
