2023 Recap

Thread Overview
This is the 13th year in a row that we will be tracking the college players the Chiefs have publicly or privately expressed interest in leading up to the NFL Draft.

Last year, we had a pretty solid showing with 4 hits: Felix Anudike-Uzomah, Rashee Rice, Wanye Morris & BJ Thompson. Let's run it back!

For those who are new: the way this operates is that we collectively monitor various social media sources, blogs, articles and reports for news of the Chiefs' interest in a certain player. When posted in this thread, I will update the OP to include the player. *Please provide the link to the article, the players name, position and team.

I am going to try to link to player profiles when they exist, courtesy of The Draft Network,, or their team's website.

Let's meet some of our future Chiefs:

So we’re not meeting with 1st round WRs?

The only guy on there is BTJ and he will be long gone.

You realize that not every top 30 visit gets reported, correct?

And anybody that's a clear cut "1st round WR" will be "long gone". We're picking 32nd.

Missouri LT Javon Foster was at the local day as was RB Cody Schradar.

Jowon Briggs/DT/Cincinnati, who stood out during @ShrineBowl practice visiting the @Seahawks today and has official 30's with the @Chiefs and @Bengals next week. Was in Cleveland to see the @Browns last week and a lot of people like that fit.

I like some Jowon Briggs with that 221 pick as an NT prospect. I don't know if you take him earlier than that. He's a lot like Khristian Boyd and McKinley Jackson. Short arms, good-to-great snap quickness into the gap, but that's where it ends. They will set up shop quickly and stuff the run so long as long-armed OGs don't get up under them.

What’s it like to be an in-demand prospect in the weeks leading up to the NFL Draft?

Check out the itinerary of University of British Columbia OT Giovanni Manu, the 6-foot-8, 352-pound behemoth who’s in the midst of 10 visits in 10 days before the visit window closes Thursday.
