Summary of the video's arguments -- some of which are argued better than others:
1. Never fully healthy.
2. This chart:
3. We ranked in the bottom 3rd in 2020 in passrush despite dropping major coin along the DL.
4. 6 sacks in 2020 -- there was a 7 game stretch where he had 1, and 2 sacks in the last 10 weeks of the season.
5. He doesn't change the run defense all that much.
6. 2020 postseason was "pedestrian" -- 9.8% pressure rate.
7. All of this despite being slotted next to Chris Jones.
8. As you can see in the above chart, Clark is rarely double teamed.
9. The Chiefs didn't restructure Clark this offseason, because they don't want to make it harder than it needs to be to cut him after 2021 -- saves $13m.
10. 2021 is a make-or-break year for Clark.
The good news is that Jarran Reed, like Chris Jones, is a beast in "sacks created," which should help our edge rush. [Reply]

Without Frank Clark they could have signed Thuney AND replaced Frank Clark. Duh. [Reply]

If we didnt do the Clark trade that doesnt necessarily mean we pick Collier.
And nobody is saying Clark didnt contribute to our Super Bowl. Were saying he needs to do more if he wants to stick around next year [Reply]
As good as the Chiefs are, with getting to an AFC Championship in 2018-2019, winning the Super Bowl in 2019-2020, and playing in the Super Bowl in 2020-2021, we can be better. One way to improve is with a better pass rush.

Could save Bills $6,350,000 by cutting. Also drafted Gregory Rousseau (30) and Carlos Basham Jr (61) with first two draft picks [Reply]
The 2020 NFL season had the fewest holding calls in the last 12 seasons (I can't go back further on nflpenalties.com), and it is an absurd difference.

I'm making a big assumption here, but I have to assume that edge rushers were the most affected players from non-calls. My next assumption is that speed rushers off the edge were abused the most by the non-calls. While I am not excusing Clark's numbers, I'd love to see just how many edge rushers were screwed out of sacks this season.
Not on topic for this, but pass interference was way off this season (for one particular player): Tom Brady. He benefitted from 30 PI called in the Buccs favor (includes the playoffs). The previous highest was 22. The NFL average over the last 5 years is around 9 DPI called per team. KC with nearly the same passing stats as the Buccs: 4. 4 fucking flags. Mahomes benefited from 3 DPI called. Anyway... [Reply]
If Veach doesn’t see any DEs in next years draft that could be available where we pick....maybe he trades a first round pick (and more) for Danielle Hunter. [Reply]

I could see it. And the vikings are a shit show. [Reply]
Look, nobody is arguing that Clark has played up to his contract. Obviously not.
Something's wrong with the guy. Like physically wrong.
IBS or Crohns or whatever, he's just not the same physical player. I don't see him loafing, I just see him not being very effective.
I'm quite sure we will see more of the same this season unless they've made some medical breakthrough, which I doubt because we haven't heard about it.
Next year he'll be gone.
Am I thrilled with our DE situation? Of course not. I still figure we'll sign a vet before the season to help shore it up. The young guys have another year's experience under their belts. Reed paired with Jones is serious business inside. We'll be okay, barring catastrophic injuries.
If we were a shit offense and trying to win with our defense I'd be more worried. We're not. Middle of the pack defense gets it done with this team. We'll be fine. [Reply]

If someone wanted to make a video case that Frank Clark is not doing his job, why not post some videos of actual game tape and compare what the player did on the play compared to his assignment was on the play?
Has any Frank Clark critic ever posted video of plays where he did not compete to do his assignment on a play?
Nerds who like to watch football and look at stats but do not know anything about football ought to commit to getting a job coaching football or working in football at some level.
This is a great point. Only those that played high school football are qualified to hold an opinion on NFL players. [Reply]
