They rebuilt the entire OL in an offseason. Why keep Heck?

The Chiefs have drafted one OT since the Reid era. One. Fucking one.

Eric Fisher.

And while he was the #1 overall pick, he was really raw. And turned into a nice starter. So this notion that Heck can't coach drafted OTs is stupid, because he's 1 for 1 so far.

The main person to blame for the Oline issues is the injury bug. I can't think of a single team that would have survived what we went through last year and got as far as we did. Teams just aren't built to sustain 6 injuries in the OL room.

Other contributing factors were obviously the COVID opt-outs, and sure, if you want to blame Veach's team for Reiter & Wylie and everything after, fine, but I won't hold it against them.

LDT (COVID)
Niang (COVID)
Schwartz (Injured, then Berry'd)
KO (both knees 'sploded)
Rankin (recovery all 2020)
Fisher (AFC championship)
