Nzoner's Game Room>Any Bourbon drinkers out there?
The Poz 01:04 PM 06-19-2008
I've heard some good things about Buffalo Trace Bourbon.
http://www.buffalotrace.com/

Can't get it up here north of the border but, through a wine distributer I am able to order a case. Would like to hear from someone who knows their stuff and has tried it before I order.

Thanks

Picked up my dad's father's day gift.

Got a Russell's Reserve private barrel pick from our local Total Wine. Got a few sample bottles for him to try as well as he's commented that he'd like to get into some lower level scotches.

Was introduced to these last night by the neighbor. He's a non-flavored bourbon drinker like so many of you. For not being flavored, they were OK.

Weller is marvelous - just too bad the resale market has made availability and affordability simply ridiculous.

I did get my hands on some Rabbit Hole last night…tasty stuff!

Antique and the 12 are fabulous but yes, too costly at secondary prices.

The Weller Special Reserve is trash. Not a fan.

I just wish I could appreciate them the way he and the rest of you do. Were they good? From what I've come to know about bourbons, they were great. So I'm on a slow pace to true appreciation of bourbon in the raw.

You're probably just weak and enjoy something super "smooth" with lots of sweet/fruity flavors. "Give me that JD Honey and peach, girl!"

Just own it man. It's OK!

Own it? Hell yeah, drinking some JB Peach as I type... Give me some Screwball Peanut Butter and I'll be just as happy!

Totally. Seems they were saving it for a higher volume customer than me, who just happened to be in the store and declined it. Became my lucky day just standing there to checkout with some beers.
