I would love to see legislation started to put a stop to cities funding more than 50% of a stadium. Whatever percentage they find they should get in percentage sales. [Reply]

There has been talk down here for a while about putting a stadium between Austin and San Antonio along the I-35 corridor to accommodate an NFL team. It started after the Saints couldn't play in NO for 1/2 a season and continued with the Raider debacle. But Jerry will never let it happen. Texas could support 3 teams. Of course one of the three would have to be the red-headed step child like Jacksonville and San..er..LA Chargers. Of course the Bills should be used to that as the third in NY (even though they are the only ones who play in the state).
I remember the Raiders scouted out land between SA and Austin before they chose Vegas.
The area could certainly support a team. SA and Austin are basically growing into each other along the 35 corridor. [Reply]
