Update below:

Willie will play on Sunday

Full quote from Andy Reid on Willie Gay: "I decided he’d play. I’m not going to get into the conversations. I’m not going to do that. I decided that after just hearing some of the information that I heard." https://t.co/muFit5wkAn

Before we march Willie to the pillory, let's remember a woman named Crystal involved with a guy named Tyreek. We have no idea what took place, where it took place, or the extent of the "damage". I'm sure Willie will have a meeting with the Chief's brass today, and as long as he doesn't lie about the events (see a guy named Kareem), he'll play on Sunday.

From what I understand, he's still in jail right now, being held without bond. So he's not meeting with the Chiefs brass today and it's unlikely he'll play if he's still incarcerated.

This entire situation is odd.

Property damage under $1000 which is a misdemeanor - but he's being held without bond?

That seems ridiculous.

I agree. Odd. Only thing I can think of is waiting on some type of mental health evaluation.

He should be fine to play if its just a misdemeanor, to big of a game to not have him in if its a slap on the hand. If we lose the game because we keep him off the team for something they don't have to keep him out of the game I would place the blame 100% on the coaching staff.

If it was last week vs. the Steelers, whatever,, we win with our practice squad guys but against the Bills we need all hands on deck. If we don't start the guy or play him at all and the Bills win its Andys fault period.

I think its linked to a domestic situation. A "cooling off" law.

Too many times the guy bonds out and goes immediately over to the significant others place and commits violence on her.

I'd guess he hasn't been in front of a judge yet. Local time is 8:20 AM. Again, let's not get ahead of ourselves. It seems as if there were a couple people that did that before and are no longer employed in the KC area.

1:30 court date today per Nate Taylor.

Willie Gay was arrested at 10:30 pm last night in Overland Park & he was booked into the Johnson County detention center in Olathe on a misdemeanor criminal damage to property charge.

His court time is set for 1:30 pm today.

I’m afraid we’ll be seeing JA ripping off 15 yard runs on 3rd and 8 running right by Hitchens

Sure seems like he went to his baby momma's house to see his kid, was told he wasn't welcome and starting throwing some things around the house.

The charge would be MUCH different if he laid hands on anyone.

Obviously not verified and just a rumor. You’re looking at the bottom tweet in black where they talk about the supposed 911 call.

In Minnesota, it's very unusual for an arrest to occur due to a misdemeanor criminal damage to property charge. I can't speak to the practices in Johnson County of course.

Also of note, the other tweet is from that bastion of journalistic integrity, KCTV5.
