The only thing bad about that trade is if the Lions stupidly believe their CB woes have been fixed (they probably do) and that takes another player off the table for Sneed.

And that's not that bad. Somebody's going to bite.

The longer this goes on the better we have of resigning him! No way he plays on the tag

The Lions got fleeced, IMO.
Sure Davis got torched in Tampa, but what talent did he have around him?

They only had a star safety, talented linebackers, elite pass rush, and an offense that could control the ball to keep their defense off the field.

Davis can’t do it all by himself.

If he can be had at/near the Davis contract (probably not terribly realistic) then I'd be on board.

3/$45? I could live with that.

He really would fit damn nicely here and the possibility of playing with Mahomes has to have some appeal to him. Especially as a guy who could potentially hit the market again in time to get another decent deal.

Do you have a post count you're trying to get to by posting the same shit? We get it....you'd bring back Sneed.

I’m sure Davis will look better once he joins that Detroit defense and gets the hell away from Tampa

Doesn't feel like the Chiefs have any intention of making him do so. They'll move him for a late 2nd before they did that.

If for no other reason than it's a pretty nasty look for a guy who's really respected in the lockerroom and truly will only get one shot at a big contract.

They'll do it right with Sneed, IMO. They'll get him extended or traded. They're not going to make him play on the tag (and he WOULD play on the tag if they insisted on it. He's only made $4 million in his NFL career - he's not missing on over $1 million/wk in guaranteed money).

Trade! The #Panthers are trading star Brian Burns — at last! — to the #Giants, per me and @MikeGarafolo.

Burns lands a 5-year deal worth $150M max with $87.5M guaranteed, done by Todd France of @AthletesFirst.

Did I see a 2nd and 5th for Burns?

The Panthers are so dumb for not taking that offer from the Rams (assuming the reports were true).

$30 million for Burns. Suddenly Chris Jones deal doesn’t look so bad

Not a bad price for the Giants to pay in terms of compensation.

Steal compared to what the Rams supposedly offered

Looking at the Davis trade, this means the Lions view Carlton Davis who allowed 828 yards and a passer rating against of 102.5 as roughly pick 98.

Sneed allowed 545 yards and had a 66 passer rating against.

Just some food for thought.

I never thought for one second those reports were true.

Wasn't it something like 2 firsts? A 1st and a 2nd? I mean just obviously loony tunes stuff, IMO.

Had they been able to get that deal done they'd have likely been able to get up to 1.1 without giving up their 2024 first rounder. Oh they'd still suck - even worse in fact, but they'd be sitting in the catbirds seat right now instead of Chicago.

There's just no way they turned that deal down.
