Kinda surprised kinda not.

One would think he’d have some rope in camp being a first round guy.

BUT

The guy was straight terrible in that Buffalo game and he’s been with the team awhile. It’s also possible he’s lost some athleticism after the injuries. I’m guessing he’s been there long enough it’s not some rash decision.

He was my pick in the "Surprise TC Cuts" thread. Though, I said it would not be much of a surprise b/c of all the young DB's on the roster. Just means the Chiefs like what they see in them.

This year's "surprise cut". Given his performance last year and we drafted 3 CBs and a S this year, the secondary room was probably short on seats.

Gabriel Davis never returned Baker's ankles so this move makes a ton of sense.
