Nzoner's Game Room>Question for you car mechanics out there
Titty Meat 02:10 PM 07-16-2020
I have a 97' Ranger. It wont start all it does is make a "click" sound when I try starting it.

I don't have battery cables but I do have a battery reader and the battery was at 12.3 Volts.

Any idea what might be the issue? I'm thinking a starter.

What kind of mileage do you get on that Ranger, Billay?

A friend of mine had one, and it was downright horrifying what that thing got per gallon. It's a small pickup running on a 6 FFS.

That's not as bad his was, and not terrible overall especially for a 97' pickup.

Wouldn’t that thing be rusty in the Midwest all these years, Billay?

Not if it’s a 2WD. That thing is going nowhere in the ice :-).

Wife had one of those when we were dating in college. I don’t remember what year. About the same. It was a straight joke in the snow.

Total chic magnet for the women Clay dates. I bet that Billay's success with the heifers has to do with the rusted out Ranger

:-) Years ago I had a 1984 Chevy S10 pickup with a 2.8 V6. Must useless POS engine ever, drank gas like a V8, but only had the power of a 4 cyl. Pretty typical of the absolute crap GM was building in the 80s.

They must have tuned them differently in later years, I had a 91 S10 with the 2.8. I got around 28 MPG and would burn tires through 1 and 2, would get lucky and get 3 to burn if I was going into a corner. Fucking loved that truck, of course it was my first truck I bought for $500 when I was 14
