Tell me you shop at Aldi's without telling me you shop at Aldi's!!

If you're doing a Chipotle spread, I really recommend this chicken recipe. It's good.

I'll also Stan for this dude. I didn't make it so I can't vouch, but his shit is usually on point.

This will end the unsolicited advice I'll give you.

Brained for 18 hours, injected with butter and broth, smoked with can of broth in the cavity. Wow, just wow... Pulled at 168, tented and let sit for 20 minutes. Wow, just wow.. All the parts of the bird we like, and LOTS left over (~3 breasts) for turkey salad and other meals.

Wife made dressing from scratch and it was soooooo much better than usual.

Hosted this year and did a smoked and roasted turkey. Smoked was obviously much more delicious but the roasted one was still great. Honestly barely ate anything but the time I was done cooking and hosting. But to the host goes the lions share of the leftovers so I ain’t mad

Didn't do this myself but just polished this off at a place called Burger & Beyond which is my #1 place for burgers in London. Was a bacon double cheeseburger with an English twist with pickled onions.

So a bit off topic, but we've discussed gear here before.

Who has a cutting board they're proud of?

I've been cooking a lot more recently, and am looking to upgrade my cutting board game. I have decent, not great knives, but they're sharp and cut well. I have cheap shitty cutting boards. They're fine and are made of shit I can throw in the dishwasher. I'm looking for a big nice board I can leave out on my giant ass island. Objective is to just use it for vegetable prep so I don't have to wash it. I'll keep the cheap ones for meat to reduce the amount of washing I need to do on the wood one. It will still need care, but I'm looking to keep washing and care streamlined as much as I can.

So I looked around a bit today with sick kids, and didn't really find anything that stood out to me. Most of the places I normally look to buy shit from had pretty low grade shit. Looked around and found some that look OK, but can't really verify quality. Looked on Etsy to maybe support some small businesses, but similarly there are a fuckton of options and few of them were very big. I found some that might work, but wouldn't mind finding a vouched-for option.

Anyone have anything they're proud of, or know of anybody making these? I'm willing to drop some coin, not a grand or anything, but a hundo or two doesn't scare me.

FWIW, this is what I'm considering.
