The first one I can remember as the QB watching Chiefs games was Steve DeBerg that would have put me at about 6-9 years old when I became a fan and really started following the team. [Reply]
While I vaguely remember listening to SB-I on the radio, I VIVIDLY remember being traumatized watching the TV and seeing the infamous 41-6 loss to the Raiders. That was rough! [Reply]
I was 16, and hardly a fan of any sport other than baseball because that was my jam, when I went to Phoenix to private boarding school so the KC Chiefs were out of range. Final year of boarding school was in Atchison so I got into it but we didn't gather around the dorm lounge and watch the games or anything like that.
It got really hot and heavy when Montana, Mary, and Peterson came. And I had the opportunity to meet DT at a bar. Bought me and my FG a drink. KC was on fire back then. [Reply]

Deberg. I remember being appalled when they got Montana. As a CA Chief fan, I was sick of hearing about the 49ers. Then I watched a couple of games with Montana and I was like, “okay, he’s pretty good”..... [Reply]

<----53 years old. Alive for SB 1, but not old enough to be a fan (of anything, really, only 1 year old); definitely alive for SBIV. Still had a couple more years of Lenny the Cool.... [Reply]

Jesus, when I glance back at Croyle, Thigpen, and Huard? Is it REALLY any wonder that a very loud and vocal minority on this board was ready to torch Arrowhead to the ground and burn the Clarks on a Pyre if they didn't get with the program, and dump that absurd nonsense once and for all?

Lol. I was born the year the Chiefs won the SuperBowl. Can’t say I remember much of it though, I was like three months old. :-) [Reply]
