Having considered Holland (or Safety Richie Grant at #44) before ultimately addressing the DL, the Cowboys are thrilled to snag one of the drafts top safeties in the middle of round 3. The team is desperately trying to sign free agent safety Malik Hooker which would give Holland the opportunity for a slower transition into the NFL. If the team cannot come to terms with Hooker, they are hopeful that Holland can jump in and start day 1.
Hooker will be hurt before the season begins [Reply]

I don't see how he's getting that grade either. He's a 3rd round guy in my eyes. He's not a starter year 1. He's not that great in coverage either. Meh. [Reply]
The announcer's voice booms through the auditorium.
"Many people have come to the Twin Cities over the years, determined to make a new life and succeed. You know many of them from football: Fran Tarkenton, Randy Moss, and Alan Page to name a few. But the Twin Cities' favorite free agent of all time arrived 50 years ago in a 1970 Mustang, determined to overcome obstacles to succeed as a single woman. Familiar music starts:
She can turn this draft on with her smile
She can take a mid-round pick and suddenly make it all seem worthwhile
Onto the stage, clutching a Vikings helmet in her hand, comes Mary Tyler Moore sporting a Fran Tarkenton jersey.
Mary offers an adorable smile. "Ohhhhh, Mr. Goodell," she says, "I'm here to announce the pick." She brushes her skirt nervously, then blurts out,
"The Minnesota Vikings select Jackson Carman, OT, Clemson."
She pauses for a moment, proud of her success, then quickly leans into the microphone as Goodell takes it away. "Watch WJM tonight for extended coverage of this pick from anchorman Ted Baxter!" [Reply]
