Finally, now that we have former coaches and former players who have literally said "the games aren't decided on the field", I mean...these are Hall of Famers and Suoer Bowl MVPs.

It's sports entertainment, and the shit is so obviously rigged, I can fucking see through it Tim. First time as the Colts playoff game in January 2014 - that's hen I started looking for it, after that game.

The SF and Arizona games in 2014 were suspect...

then came that prime time game vs Denver in 2015. Peyton Manning, Denver's oline were allowed to tackle and manhandle Hali, DJ, and Houston. And then...in the span of 40 some seconds, we went from having a 7 point lead to being behind by 7 and losing the game. And I just...could see it.

The playoff games, the Pittsburgh playoff game...yeah, that's the game that finally got Reid to draft Mahomes, okay great. But it was still bullshit officiating. And then...the "forward progress" game. It's easy to point at Triplette and that shit call...but good GOD did that offense go colder than a witch's tit after going up huge. JUST. LIKE. SUNDAY.
I don't doubt, at all, that Flores (and others) could have been approached by their Owners/GMs to throw games for draft spot purposes. But, I mean, we saw that happening anyways when the Colts were after Luck. We've all just kinda accepted that was the case and moved on. That's on the NFL for not having a draft process that protects from that sort of behavior.

But, I just don't believe that this all points to some huge hidden scheme of the NFL rigging games for ratings/money. The NFL is an easy billion dollar corporation just by letting the 32 teams line up against each other every Sunday.

Hard to belive they'd risk that for any reason.

What's the risk?

If you (and others) don't believe that they would do it, but they ARE doing it, and right in front of your faces...

so, where, exactly, is the risk?

It's not illegal...and you keep watching.

Nothing will come of it...other than either a payoff to shut him up or something else to shut him up. Business as usual will roll along, one way or the other.

That's some amazing mental gymnastics. Your head has to be far up your ass to believe that.
Until Caldwell starts making these same claims, I won’t believe it. I might not even believe it then.

But there is literally no other evidence that the 2011 Colts were a product of anything but Bill Polians hubris and Peyton Manning’s neck.

Parity dictates that no NFL teams are THAT bad...but yes, Polian was a shit GM who left a skeleton team around an injured Manning...bringing Kerry Collins out of retirement was almost rubbing salt in the wounds...

Yes, they sucked hard for Luck.

Yeah, they sucked and they all paid for it with their jobs. Polian never got another job outside of an advisory role.

You’d think he’d be rather bitter if he did Irsays bidding and ended up getting fired anyway.

He hasn’t said a word as far as I know.

They sucked but they were trying NOT to suck. They just weren’t any good at it.

But Polian was old and was on his umpteenth team - I remember him from those Bills teams in the 90s, then he was the GM for the expansion Panthers...THEN he went to Indy, right?

Yeah, I think he made his bones and was just riding Manning-tirement, until they actually needed to build an actual team and draft a new QB, and he bowed out - and yeah, he never said a word as far as I know.

I mean, I don't think he was consciously "sucking for Luck", just enjoying having Manning at QB in the twilight of his years, but when Manning was gone and they were terrible...well, why not?
