Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

If Bears fans feel that way, imagine how Bills fans feel.
Well I think many of them knew Mahomes had the far higher ceiling, but Trubisky was viewed as the safe pick that would most likely keep their jobs IMO...
Problem is, they even traded up to ensure that they would get him. One freaking spot.
I don’t even really like using the excuse that the Bears and Bills didn’t have Andy Reid to develop him, which is a common reason heard for why they took the ‘safe’ pick. If you don’t have the coaches to get the best out of Mahomes, then ****ing find someone who will (i.e. Rams 2017)...
It’s early but Chicago looks quite foolish. [Reply]

I saw Bills fans yesterday comparing Mahomes to game manager Mark Sanchez. They are still in denial. [Reply]

I remember Sanchez starting out pretty hot... what Sanchez lacked was handling adversity of failure and the pressure of being a QB in a major market. It eventually crumbled his confidence and he was lost. [Reply]

It's ok. They're on schedule for the 1st overall.
Shrug. Never know. Maybe they can take a 1st round franchise QB next draft. :-) [Reply]

Funny thing is the Bears ended up with Matt Nagy, who was thrilled to have Mahomes on the Chiefs roster. With John Fox, Trubisky was doomed to be a bust. I think Nagy can turn him into a good game manager. So you are right, they easily could have drafted Mahomes and replaced Fox with Nagy. [Reply]

He won games because of Rex Ryan’s defense, not because of Sanchez's arm. So it’s a pretty bogus comparison in that regard. We saw yesterday that Mahomes is the kind of QB that can carry a bad defense. That was never true with Sanchez. [Reply]

Not even close to the same thing. Sanchez's rookie year he had the #1 rushing attack in the NFL and a defense that ranked 1st in both points allowed and yards allowed, which is pretty tough. If Mahomes had that defense we'd be a Super Bowl favorite. [Reply]
