Probably the biggest misconception about intelligence by the masses is assuming just because someone is articulate and/or a smooth talker that they must be smart. There are tons of high iq people out there that struggle to communicate. And also tons of people dumber than a box of rocks that are fantastic at speaking and tricking people into thinking they know what they are talking about.
