I mean Jalen Ramsey got the Jags two 1sts and a 4th. I could see Jones getting that or more.
What would be your minimum trade comp IF Veach is trading him no matter what?
Ramsey was around 25 years old and still on the 4th year of his rookie contract when Jags dealt him. Rams still had leverage to franchise him
Jones is a great player but I doubt there is a team willing to give to pay Jones a huge contract when he will be 29 before next season begins. He would need to dominate the Bengals and then probably be Super Bowl MVP this year for Chiefs to get multiple firsts for him.
Maybe a late first and a 4th or 5th rounder if Jones is willing to be semi reasonable in his contract demands. And if Jones is willing to be semi reasonable in his contract demands, Chiefs probably keep him. [Reply]
maybe in Chris Jones hall of fame speech he can talk about how he never got a sack in the playoffs despite playing in so many playoff games. It's not a great thing, but he can poke some fun at himself when he's inducted. [Reply]
Playing the Bengals this is a game where he HAS to get a sack or more. We're going to need everyone on the defense playing their best to stop them. He can't just be taking double teams and hoping other players can take advantage. He has to be a force. [Reply]

He can talk about how he enabled Stank Clark to get them, and the 14 Planeteers in attendance can clap like baby seals for him [Reply]

Don’t agree, his value is higher than a late 1st+mid rounder. Heck the 9ers got like a top 15 pick from Buckner and Jones is in a whole different class. [Reply]

Buckner was several years younger at the time of his trade from Niners to Colts. [Reply]

Without Miller the Bills have some solid DL players, but nobody the caliber of Jones. [Reply]

Yes but here's the deal, we only have 1 stellar d-lineman and they will double if not triple team most of the game soooooooooo our other average pass rushers better show up.:-) [Reply]
The interpretation skills of some select CP members of my OP can only be described as asinine and totally inaccurate.
1. No where do I say Jones sucks, deserves to be traded like many here say we should or is "sand bagging" in the playoffs.
2. Raising a question that both the announcers talked about and then after the game was discussed by several talking heads means it's on more peoples minds than just mine.
3. If all you can do is call people reruns or reetards for raising the question, you may actually be the rerun or just a dumb jackass who needs to learn reading interpretation.
4. I was curious to see others opinions. Maybe Jones has just had bad luck? Maybe Spags hasn't made better adjustments or schemes?
4. Have any of the top 25 pass rushers of all time never had a sack in the playoffs?
5. Could Chris Jones be burnt out at the end of the season?
It seems to be getting more difficult to have a healthy and intelligent discussion started when many have a complete lack of an intelligent answer with an immediate over dramatic response. [Reply]
