2023 – A new beginning for the Royals. Matt Quatraro era begins. A year to see which of our young players will make up the core going forward. Can Bobby Witt Jr become a superstar SS or will go to the hot corner? Will Brady Singer take the next step forward? Will Salvy be Salvy? Will Big Vin or Pratto take first base? Will they find a position for MJ? Who else emerges from the youth movement? Not to mention the development of the new downtown stadium.

The lone Royals prospect in Baseball America's Top 100 is OF Gavin Cross at No. 97. Cross was their top pick in last year's draft https://t.co/3AgYl3NcWp
Amazed that we had one, TBH. We graduated so many prospects last year that you would think most of our best would be in the back half of the top 200 or so. I kinda' thought Kudrna had a shot at the bottom of the top 100, but Cross...why not. I'll be watching Wallace, Bowlan and Tresh (and possibly Jensen) to move up those lists as this next season progresses. [Reply]
KC’s minor league hitters didn’t come roaring out of the gate, which makes the challenges steeper for the next front office/manager.
So, where do the Royals stand? Likely fighting it out at the bottom of the AL Central. This is a transitional time with a new owner who moved on from longtime executive Dayton Moore this winter. Is the new régime a continuation of the old one’s retro-mediocre management style? A placeholder for something better? A group that intends to modernize how the team is run? Nobody knows yet — another question the Royals need to answer urgently. The team’s current plan of being good a couple of times every two decades and hoping to catch lightning in a bottle in the playoffs is not my personal favorite management style.

Costing your team a World Series because you were screwing around with a drone would do that, I think. [Reply]

Yeah obviously the allegations are the biggest thing he gets attention for but it seems like people forget the guy has a history of questionable decisions. [Reply]
