I figure there are some motorcycle guys/gals on CP, so I thought we could have a place to talk all things Motorcycles.
Tire Mount and Balance Prices (as of 10/29/16)
Prices based on if you remove the wheels yourself and bring the wheels and new tires with you:
Cycle Gear - $35 per wheel if you buy tires from them. $58 per wheel if you buy tires elsewhere
Rawhide - $65 per wheel (assuming it would be the same at other HD dealers. they book it at 1/2 hr per wheel)
C R Cycle Tires (DeSoto) - $30 per wheel
Cheapest I've found my Michelin Commander II's. Seem like they have good prices on other brands too. http://www.jakewilson.com - Free 3 day shipping on orders over $75 [Reply]

You don't have to raise Hell. You should just politely explain to them that you didn't notice it until a couple days later. And then remind them that you are a good customer and hope they choose to do the right thing. [Reply]

They would most likely not turn it in. Just pay for it.
I had a customer's car hit by a kid with no insurance while at my shop. I got it fixed for the customer and just paid for it out of my pocket . it was the right thing to do Posted via Mobile Device [Reply]
SO I have a 2007 bike that I put 20k miles on in the first season I owned it (bought it new)
The bike sits now in my garage, with about 22k miles on it (have bought and rode other bikes while it sat)
Sitting for literally 3 years and 8 months, fired up on the first try and ran no problem. Battery is coming from the internet, just need a taillight and it is ready to pass inspection and be licensed.
Only thing I did to store it was put stabil in the gas tank, and turn off the petcock. [Reply]
If that were built to compete in a certain class of racing I’d say it looks pretty good but I’m betting it isn’t and some confused person built it because they think it looks pimp. [Reply]

I've done it on a sport bike.
not too hard.
one thing is to consider if it'll run a little lean as a result. usually, however, they come a little rich from the factory so no need for a fuel commander / etc. [Reply]
