Frankly, it would be pitiful if their D was NOT #1 statistically.
Their DVOA rankings aren't much better.

They played an absolute shit schedule and still lost 6 games.

By any reasonable standard, they played four above average offenses (that’s if you include the Colts, which might be a stretch). They lost three of the four games and allowed 32 ppg.

They basically played 4 above average defenses too and lost at least 2 of those.

From reading this thread, one would think the Buffalo Bills should just stay home.

It was all set up for them, this was their year...they could have slept walked to the #1 seed and be playing at home on Sunday.

All I’m trying to do is point out how silly and inaccurate the media narratives are. The Bills definitely have a chance to win. But I think it will take a number of crucial mistakes like last time.

Why is everyone saying this is some historic game? Correct me if I'm wrong, but Buffalo lost 6 games this year who has lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers and The Jacksonville Urban Meyers.

Well, there is the "fact" that Josh Allen is the best QB in the NFL now and Mahomes needs to beat him to prove he's better.

:-)

The Bills are going to be a dark smear on our boots by 8 PM

What did Atlanta do to Josh Allen? 11-26 with 0 TD and 3 INTs. Somehow the Bills still had no problem winning but whatever they defensively. Yeah, lets do that. Or what the Jaguars did.

And they played the vast majority of those games WITH their best defender (White) who isn't there anymore. And to think I just heard a guy on a bills podcast claim our defensive improvement is "fools gold" when we've faced top offenses and QB's all year and they have faced nothing but trash smh. All the teams who have taken confidence away from the Bills defense has won..it's that simple.

The Bills weakness against the blitz is Spags strength.

He is going to take little nuggets from each of those games where Allen got shut down.

We're not going to shut them down, but we'll slow them down just enough to give Patrick his opportunity to win.

There is 10 fold the pressure on the Bills...every football decision over that past year...was made for this exact moment. Chiefs/Mahomes at home in the post-season...is the immovable object.

Allen hasn't proven to be that great in these "do-or-die" situations...especially if he gets behind.

This very well might be the last game with both Daboll and Frazier....they are prime candidates to get poached. Daboll was crucial in Allen's development...

The Chiefs are like "oh, it's you guys again".
