The last 15 minutes were pretty wild. Tom obviously knew where to go and what was going on right? I mean, I've never went on a drunken rampage like that but I can't imagine i'd know exactly where to go lol. The Uncle obviously told him what was going on.

The fucking Hoyt family, we knew it. Damn.
I really want to like it, but this season feels like a dud all over again, just a different flavor. 6.8 episodes of mumbling and pointless remembrances to get to this point. [Reply]

So the black dude with 1 eye is definitely involved somehow, right?
I don't think we need to Spoiler anything, personally. We're all just speculating and episode has aired:
My take on him: he works for the Hoyt family after likely getting hurt in a chicken plant (first black dude with an eye says that tons of people have lost eyes working in the industry). He accidentally killed the brother during the abduction and was ordered to dispose of the body. He placed the boy in the cave in the praying position and made a trail to the body with the dolls as an act of contrition.
One of the bigger theories I'm enjoying is the speculation around the sexuality of Dorff's character. Quite a bit of smoke suggesting that he and Tom (who we now know "struggles" with homosexuality) might have had a sexual encounter. [Reply]

I had thought that, but Roland went after the ladies at the church. Maybe he swings both ways? I'm wondering if Hayes finds out he had a thing with Tom and told his GF and that's why they split? [Reply]
I'll keep spoiler tagging since I'm of the mindset it's a truly a spoiler until an entire streamable series has concluded since some people won't start until it's completed which allows them to binge watch all it once.
Spoiler!
So I got deked on Henry not banging Sarah Gadon's character because it seemed too obvious. Hooray.
Same with with the Hoyt involvement. I figured Pizz would have red herringed the Hoyt angle to the Purcell murder/abduction because people are so ginned up for vast conspiracies thanks to Yellow King / Tuttle Ministries / the Senator from Season 1 and he'd have learned from Season 2 that you have to get people to care about the impact of a vast conspiracy because they have an idea who's involved (it all came down to Frank Semyon getting boned by the Russian Mob + Vinci government crooks + the private equity fund since they were all in on the Eyes Wide Shut orgy clique. The boning came because his bagman in Vinci got iced by his bastard children who were orphaned because he and Vinci cops were basically uniformed pirates during the Rodney King riots. This scheme was so complex and involved secondary/tertiary characters that you need an illustrated Idiot's Guide to spell it out for you since the eight episodes were so focused on the quadtagonists' drama sprinkled with sex-related innuendos. It's no surprise then to see why it wasn't liked by a wide audience.).
K. So what's gonna be the payoff with Hoyt being behind Will's death and Julie's abduction that isn't anymore obvious than it is now?
And yeah. Roland is probably closeted gay or the male referenced side of bisexual. Probably had fooled around with Tom post-crime who might have fooled around with Harris James pre-crime.
IDK. I'm mildly disappointed the plot has unfolded this way but I'm still pleased with the overall quality so far.
So tom must have known something about the pink rape room prior to going in there right? The room didn't freak him out but some photo did?
Spoiler!
I mean he says 'Julie' when he walks in and right before he probably gets shanked by Harris James but I don't think he had knowledge of the Pink Rooms..

Spoiler!
Just didn't seem to be the actual room that freaked him but something on the wall? I dunno.
Anyone else curious about how he made a beeline exactly to the basement? How the hell did he know where to go?

I mean if you have an inkling there's some sort of illegal or un-welcomed activity on the premises of a rich as fuck person's house, aren't you going to kind of assume it's going on in a place only accessible one way and totally out of sight from a passerby?

True. Just seemed weird. Wondering if he had been in there before or something? I doubt it.
Also
Spoiler!
I have a feeling that lady that's always with Lucy is something . Maybe her handler that makes sure she keeps her mouth shut? From the Hoyt Family
I also kind of agree with Discuss in that there seems to be a lot of throwaway shit happening this season that doesn't really advance the arc of the story. [Reply]

I don't see any hint of there being anything sexual between Roland and Tom. I know they made a mention that he was never married, never had kids - but I don't see how that has anything to do with if a someone is a homosexual. I guess we'll see - you may be right - but I don't see it. [Reply]
