The argument with the SEC is that there's a third team that pops up to challenge Alabama or Georgia every few years while also contending for a title. Recently, it's been LSU or Auburn. Florida before that. And Tennessee in the 90s.
Big 12 has only had Oklahoma consistently push for a title recently. Kansas St., Baylor, Oklahoma St., and Texas have had their moments. Same with TCU. But none have made the POs or had a legit argument as a top 2 team outside Oklahoma since what, Texas when McCoy got hurt in the natty?
Right...the Big 12 has only one consistently elite team, and the SEC has two. Although Georgia's only consistently been at that level the last 5 years.
Nobody's claiming that the Big 12 is as good or better than the SEC. Just that Big 12 teams don't have the easy path that SECers like to pretend they do.
It's never the Georgia or Bama fans that belittle other leagues. It's the Missouri and Kentucky types, which rarely play truly elite teams and don't even play a lot of ranked teams. They play Alabama a few times a decade. [Reply]
Now they're using the timeout on 2nd and 1. Should have waited one more play (for either a 1st down or a 3rd down). Guess it doesn't matter anyway. [Reply]
I want Georgia to fumble the snap, then Mizzou scoop and score. But the Mizzou player pulls a Desean Jackson and celebrates too early. He drops the ball at the 1, Georgia recovers.
