Looks like we catch a break not having to face Goedert. He's out for the next four weeks with a fractured forearm.
Eagles’ TE Dallas Goedert has a fracture in his forearm and will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine if there is any further damage, as well, per sources. Either way, Goedert is set to miss time and is an injured reserve candidate. pic.twitter.com/rd9Lnw1fsA

Seriously doubt that. They had high hopes for him before the season started. He simply hasn't earned the snaps.
I don't know why and Reid will never bash a player publicly so who knows... He did great in limited snaps last game though so maybe we will see him more against the Birds [Reply]
Who actually has earned snaps? Rice and maybe Watson? Going into the season the Chiefs made it clear they believed Toney had the most potential upside of this current room and yet his workload has diminished on a weekly basis for seemingly no reason. He's far from the only WR struggling and yet he seems to have had his workload taken away at a disproportionate rate. [Reply]

And, man. No team in the NFL played that Hurts play-action better than KC. Bolton had it read correctly 100% of the time in the Super Bowl.
What's been super shocking to me is that Tranquill, these past two games, is doing everything Bolton does. He doesn't go downhill as decisively, but he does play with better depth.
Just an absolutely absurd free agency addition by Veach. Tranquill has allowed the defense to do everything it was doing under Bolton without skipping a beat.
I have been saying since early in the season that I think that Tranquill signing will prove to be the best one for the Chiefs. I was hoping he would be playing and complementing Bolton, not playing in place of him. Bolton is awesome and I'll be glad when he is able to come back healthy but, Tranquill has filled in nicely. Toney hasn’t played earned snaps but Skyy has?!
What has MVS done to earn snaps other than be the highest paid WR on our roster? [Reply]

It also is fortunate that both Hurts and Goedert are injured, Particularly Goedert, who broke his arm or something and won't be available at all.
But PHI has the ability to just run the ball if they want to, and they will just hand off 40+ times if it's working. I would be concerned that they might try something like that, but I have a feeling that Siriani has something to prove, and won't lean on their run game like that against KC, probably to his ultimate detriment.
If they do, well, I guess we'll find out how good our run defense plays without Bolton.
I just don't think Sirianni is a particularly great coach.
I think he's fine, I don't think he's a disaster or anything. But Reid/Bienemy/Spags ran circles around his entire coaching staff in the Super Bowl. The only reason the Eagles kept that close is because Hurts became Superman.
So I do think it would be a problem for the Chiefs if the Eagles just tried to run on us all game. It just wouldn't remotely surprise me if they opted to keep airing it out against a Chiefs defense built for offenses who air it out.
The Chiefs just put the clamps on the best WR combo in the league. Brown/Smith is not far behind that, but the Chiefs D is going to put clamps on them, too. [Reply]

You're probably right. I'm not buying all of your excuses. Sorry.

Talk about being born on third base, in terms of coaching. Yeah, he goes for alot of fourth downs.
He's had a great roster and has a great GM.
**** him.
Most overrated coach in the league?
Gotta be Sirianni, right? Guy is a fine coach, like he's not terrible. But you're dead right, the Eagles are about as coach-proof as you can make a team.
The guy brought in Fangio for the Super Bowl. That's just not something you do if you're confident you have the staff to solve any opponent's scheme. [Reply]
Chiefs are 4th in yards per play and 3rd in opponents' yards per play. Seems pretty balanced to me.
Most of the offensive issues are easily correctable. Cut out the unforced errors and focus drops. Stop calling idiotic plays on 3rd and a foot. Unleash Rice and Toney.
Got a feeling Andy's gonna have a little something special prepared for his old team. [Reply]
