That is the kind of info I was looking for. Thanks [Reply]
that was sick except... I don't like how they're treating time travel, I was expecting him to pop back again into the current timeline but apparently they're doing the incredibly nonsensical "well he went back in time and then magically went inside the consciousness of his past self"
EDIT: oh yeah, they didn't give him much to do but Spartacus did a good job and his fake American accent was pretty good [Reply]
They haven't established what the rules for time travel are. That's what tonight's show is for, I'm guessing. I doubt it's just going to be a reset ex machina. [Reply]
Time travel is a weak move. What are they going to do now? He can use that to solve every problem from now on.
Episode might as well have never happened, everything will go back to what it was.
Spoiler!
Time travel is pivotal to Flash's story. In the comics, the New 52 is actually directly related to Flash time-traveling to try saving his mother. He does, but it significantly alters the timeline. Bruce Wayne is killed instead of his parents, causing Thomas Wayne to go all bad-ass Batman, Superman is captured by the government as a child, Aquaman and Wonderwoman are at war, etc.
I think this small alteration to the timeline is just a precursor to a similar event, where Flash DOES go back, saving his mother, and therefore never depowering Eobard Thawne.
