I figure there are some motorcycle guys/gals on CP, so I thought we could have a place to talk all things Motorcycles.
Tire Mount and Balance Prices (as of 10/29/16)
Prices based on if you remove the wheels yourself and bring the wheels and new tires with you:
Cycle Gear - $35 per wheel if you buy tires from them. $58 per wheel if you buy tires elsewhere
Rawhide - $65 per wheel (assuming it would be the same at other HD dealers. they book it at 1/2 hr per wheel)
C R Cycle Tires (DeSoto) - $30 per wheel
Cheapest I've found my Michelin Commander II's. Seem like they have good prices on other brands too. http://www.jakewilson.com - Free 3 day shipping on orders over $75 [Reply]
Just a little shameless plug here, if anyone is even half ass local to central mo, years ago I founded and built www.midmoriders.com
Over the years it has had lots of activity, but is down now a little since I wasn't riding for 2 years and contributing a lot. Sign up, post up, and for fucks sake go for a ride! [Reply]
anyone is southern JoCo (or anywhere for that matter), I'm going to a bike night at Twin Peaks with my brother. come by and look at the scenery. I think it 'starts' at 6, but really whenever. The last few times there were quite a few $50k+ custom Road & Stree Glides.
come out for bikes, good beer, and bitchy waitresses. [Reply]
found a pic of a fuel stop of our trip to Branson. this was about 6 hours on the road from KC (near Bull Shoals I think). the on-set of a killer sunburn in effect. Dayze on the right.
As of now, I have the whole week off, in the AM, first leg is Shreveport. Then through Huston Tuesday to Rockport. Visit family a couple days then ride the coast from Rockport to New Orleans Friday, Saturday Memphis before home next week. As little interstate as possible so highway 67 to start out of the lou and as much highway 61 from New Orleans [Reply]
Might be picking up a new bike this week..found a good bike that's a little older until I can get the money put away for the bike I really want..this bike is a 02 Harley Heritage Softail [Reply]
