Rickon went to Skagos?

Sounds like GRR was listening to a little bluegrass when he came up with that plot point.

Anyone come to any conclusions on what role Al Swearengen will play next season.

The only clues he's given is; it's a brief role, and it's instrumental in bringing back someone thought long lost.

Skagos is an island way up North where there are supposed to be cannibals (and unicorns!).

Wyman Manderly tells Davos that he will take Stannis as his King if Davos can smuggle Rickon back to White Harbor. He never specifically says Skagos, but he says he needs someone that can sail dark waters, and Davos thinks of men who "were known to break their fast on human flesh" when his destination is pointed out on a map.

Something to do with the Hound I think.

Aegon might be a Blackfyre, he might be a rando. Nobody is for sure. The Blackfyre theory has merits with the Golden Company (hated the Targs).

Mance is likely fucked.

Vic/Barristan Bowl is going to be epic (fucking show has to ruin shit)

There is another killer in Winterfell. Some think it's Theon (Fight Club style). Manderly was responsible for killing the Freys on the trip up and using them as ingredients in the pies he fed everyone. The "Rat King" reference is the hint.

Most speculate that is a She-Wolf of Winterfell. The next Dunk and Egg novella will likely touch on this.

Agreed.

Skagos.

Yes, someone else is killing people in Winterfell. We don't know who it is, but I've heard people theorize that it could be Howland Reed, other seemingly minor characters we've been introduced to, a secondary personality of Theon's, etc.

Ah, thanks for the info.

I can't see the Jaime/Brienne storyline playing out like that. Brienne's got too much honor and its obvious the two have a thing for each other.

Agreed.

Are Victarion and Selmy expected to battle each other or together? I got the impression that Victarion was leading an assault on the other slaver cities.

I suppose they could throw down if Vic ends up feeling spurned by Daenerys.

I suspect that Vic will help out Barristan initially, then they'll have an epic throw-down.

Also, Brienne is definitely taking Jamie to LSH. What she'll do once they get there is up for debate.

Arya is a badass, she would be perfect for that. Leading the brothers without banners and getting some serious help from Thoros

This is moreso a comment on the books than the show, but I remember the guy sending a raven from Hardhome saying "dead things in the woods" and "dead things in the water".

Water White Walkers!?! Or just wight sharks and seals and shit, I wonder.

The book also mentions giant ice spiders far too many times for them not to make an appearance.

That poster is awesome! "Here crazy stalker fans! Stop digging through our trash and following us home, it's getting creepy. You can have Jon Snow. Thanks, HBO"

Anyway, a few things:

What's everyone's idea on Jamie and Brienne? Where did they run off to?

Where is Rickon? Davos said he'd almost prefer a beheading to having to go where the kid said Rickon went. Any guesses as to his whereabouts?

Awesome, love the discussion.

Jaime and Brienne to see Lady Stoneheart. My two biggest complaints about ADWD are that we only got one chapter dealing with Jaime and Brienne, and we got no chapters dealing with Sam at the Citadel (and what's up with Marwyn who left the Citadel to go see Dany?). But in the one Jaime chapter, we see Brienne leading Jamie off to see LSH. I too wonder how that will play out, I sure hope LSH does not kill Jaime, that will piss me off.

Davos to get Rickon from Skagos. Yes, as others posted, most people think Rickon is in Skagos because of Davos' reference to cannibals when he sees the location, and it is not too far from there off the coast of Westeros, and it's a place where a wildling girl might feel comfortable taking Rickon.

The Winterfell killings are subject to a few theories. It seems clear most of the killings were by Mance/Abel's spearwives. But Little Walder Frey's death at the end is different. The spearwife denies it was them to Theon in a way that makes it clear she is admitting to the others ("not one of ours"), so why would she lie about the one? Likely she didn't lie and it was someone else who did the last killing.

But who? Some think it was the mystery guy Theon sees and talks to out in the yard who recognizes Theon. We know that guy wasn't Mance/Abel as GRRM makes a point to have Theon hear Abel singing right when he sees the mystery guy. Blackfish maybe? BenJen Stark (there must be a Stark in Winterfell)? There are many theories on who that guy is and what motives he might have to kill a Frey. But I don't think it was the mystery guy.

My personal favorite theory is that the killer was none other than Big Walder Frey (the older but smaller and slightly less mean one) that killed Little Walder Frey (the bigger, dumber, meaner one). If you read the part where the body is brought in, Big Walder has blood splattered on him and nobody else has blood on them at all because the blood was frozen when he was found. Even if he found him and picked him up, you only get blood "splatter" by being there when the cutting is done.

I don't know about the Bran visions, I'd have to re-read them.

I agree that Dany's position in the books feels more like one of strength that the Dothraki would follow. On the show, she's going to have to show that strength somehow to earn their following. I have read some rumors on how that might happen, but not going to say anything because it was honestly more spoilers than I wanted to know (would be awesome if true though).

Here's a question for you though, what'd you think of the infamous Pink Letter from Ramsey to Jon Snow? That one has me perplexed, and I had a theory on it, but then Stannis was killed on the show, which if it happens in the books, would ruin my theory. So now I'm not sure what to think. Some people don't think Ramsey even wrote it, but it sure sounds like Ramsey to me (though no body part was included with it, so maybe not?).
